Dom Perignon owes its name to the famous mont of the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, Pierre Perignon. According to myth and legend he taught champagne methods to Thierry Ruinart, who founded the first official champagne house in 1729. Therefore it can be inferred that Dom Perignon could be the oldest champagne house.
This famous champagne has a golden colour, full bodied with an intense and intriguing nutty complexity on the nose and palate.
