Jean Foucart is sitauted in the appellation controlee pay d'Auge considered the finest region for producing Calvados. The estate of 25 hectares of orchards with special flint clay soil gives the ideal growing conditions for their 75 different apples pre-selected for their individual taste from sweet to bitter sweet. After the harvest and fermentation the eau de vie is double distilled in Charentais alembic for extra smoothness. Then it is aged slowly in their 50 year old barrels to obtain maximum subtely and complex flavour following the old traditional Calvados vivification methods.

Amber with bronze tints. Nose of baked apple compote effusing onto a caramel creme brulee, exotic wood palate. Great length with sweet spices.
