Castello Monaci is an estate whose features merge traits with the place where it stands, Salento is a land between two seas with its peculiar geometries and countless figures that represent nature. The innovation and technology in the cellar are very refined, with a state-of-the-art pressing system and wine-making technology that boasts layered temperature-controlled steel tanks of 50 litres and barrique cellars dug into hard rock. All allow for natural thermal insulation with a backdrop of over 1000 French oak barrels. Since 2000, the estate's oenologist has been Leonardo Sergio, whose experience and sensitivity allow him to capture the best that nature can offer him to craft wine in the most authentic form and promote rare white Verdeca grapes Indigenous to the region.
Its name, Petraluce, is evocative of its area with its famous white stone and very intense light. It is a subtle, stylish white with typical greenish hues.
