Nyetimber has become world renowned. The West Sussex estate has come to the forefront since 2003, evening beating Bollinger and Louis Roederer in the blind tasting at the sparkling wine world championships. Their grapes are 100% estate grown and hand harvested with popular grapes such as chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier made with the traditional method used for champagne. The rosé is a superb example of what we can do best here in England. Chardonnay and Pinot noir varieties made in the traditional Champagne method provide the huge amount of fruit (redcurrant and cherries) present on the nose and palate. This fruitiness is balanced perfectly by the lees-aging brioche notes, as well as the acidity and unabating length.
